Mayor Trey Edwards first took office in 2018 as the City Council member for District 3 and was then elected to his first term as Mayor in 2020. As a City Council member, he took strides to promote inclusive civic engagement and worked to propose and champion legislation to improve the economic development of the City of Abbeville. 

As the Mayor, Trey Edwards works diligently to hear the concerns of citizens, as well as taking a hands-on approach to assisting community members when possible. He works closely with his fellow City Council members and staff to develop legislation to help the City of Abbeville prosper.
